Investment Cycle
Cleveland Social Venture Partners' 2011 investment (grant) cycle has begun. The request for proposals (RFP) was distributed June 21, 2011.
Nonprofit organizations on our distribution list receive our RFP by email. To be added to this distribution list, please submit contact information on the Contact Us tab of our website.

June 30, 9:00 – 10:30 am Application orientation (see Investment Guidelines)

August 12 Semi-finalists invited to submit full proposals
August 19, 9 am Introduction to Fast Pitch presentation (all semi-finalists). A schedule for coaching continues until bigBANG!

Application Steps
When exploring whether your organization should apply to work with SVP, please consider the following steps
- Read our Investment Guidelines
- We encourage you to browse our website for details on our programs and current Investee engagements.
- Sign up to attend the Application Orientation (optional).
- Contact SVPwith further questions.
- Submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) to the Investment Team by email as a Word document or .pdf to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it g
- Give one example of how a client might use your services
- Past Innovation: Give one example of a way your organization innovated and the improvement it brought about. You may showcase improvements in programs or systems and operations.
- Future Innovation/Areas for Capacity Building: What specific new challenges have you identified to improve your organization? How would SVP's volunteer consulting services be used to help you make changes? Please focus on capacity building (systems and operations) in this section.
- How will the funds be used for capacity building and/or operations?
- How will you know if the organizational improvement projects with SVP are a success (e.g. outcomes to measure)?
- How will your clients benefit if you strengthen your organization in these ways?
- Copy of your IRS 501(c)(3) letter of not-for-profit status
- Completed cover sheet (see below)
- Resume of the executive director or a description of his/her tenure with the organization and brief description of education and work experience.
