Partner Profile: Tim Ryan

Native Clevelander Tim Ryan left his position as Regional Director for the Asia Pacific region at Swagelok Company to work full-time bringing a world-class aquarium to Cleveland. (You can hear more about Tim’s project at the July 9th CSVP First Friday!) He was introduced to CSVP by Partner Pete Ranney, and Tim was interested by our focus on developing educational programming and how he might apply it to the aquarium’s educational component. Since joining in 2009, he’s served on the Investment Team and lent his voice to the Strategic Planning Committee.

Tim is an active volunteer and board member for several nonprofits, including Friends of the Achievement Centers for Children and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. He joined CSVP to “get more ‘hands-on’ experience in the nonprofit world, and to be able to offer insight and a different perspective that can further the mission of CSVP and help its investees.”

A graduate of Southern Methodist University with an MBA from Cleveland State, Tim and his wife, Heather, live in Chagrin Falls with their two young children.
